Jeremy P. Levinson is a shareholder at Friebert, Finerty & St. John, S.C., where he has practiced for over eight years. His practice focuses on administrative, civil, and criminal litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts and administrative agencies. While maintaining a general practice, he emphasizes business, employment, governmental, and professional regulatory and ethics matters. He is also a member of the firm's Employment Law Practice Group. Jeremy brings to his practice broad experience in both counseling clients as a means of avoiding legal disputes and advocating forcefully and creatively when disputes arise.

Jeremy earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, cum laude, where he was also named a member of Phi Beta Kappa. At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he served as an Editor of Law Review and as a competitor and coach for the law school's moot court team before earning his law degree.

A frequent speaker at seminars, Jeremy is also a co-author of the three-volume Wisconsin State Bar Association publication, "Wisconsin Employment Law." Before joining the firm, he clerked for the Honorable John W. Reynolds in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, based in Milwaukee, giving him an inside view of how a court functions.

Presently, Jeremy is admitted to practice before all Wisconsin courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and American Bar Associations.

Born in New York City, Jeremy brings to his law practice a variety of experiences from earlier in his life. These include work in a number of industries and wide-ranging academic pursuits. This background supports Jeremy's commitment to carefully tailoring his work as a lawyer to each client's specific "real world" needs through effective communication and imaginative strategy.

In addition to his legal work, Jeremy stays deeply connected to his community, working with a variety of both local and statewide organizations and officials. He recently served as a member of Governor Jim Doyle's Task Force on Milwaukee County Finances. In 2006, Jeremy was recognized by the legal community as a Rising Star in Milwaukee Magazine's "Super Lawyer" survey.
