Friebert, Finerty and St. John, S.C. has had an active and varied construction law practice for well over 20 years. We have represented clients in disputes over alleged defects in design, construction techniques, and materials in projects ranging in size from single family residences to multimillion dollar commercial and institutional structures. We also represent owners, general contractors, and subcontractors in the negotiation and drafting of construction contracts and subcontracts, as well as the enforcement and defense of construction lien claims, disputes with surety companies, and issues under § 779.02(5), Wis. Stats., Wisconsin's "theft by contractor" statute. We also advise clients on making and enforcing large-project joint venture agreements among contractors.
